What We Offer
Financial Services
Designed for Sophisticated Wealth.
Investment Management
We build portfolios around your full financial picture, not a standard model. Our approach is grounded in decades of academic research on how markets work and what drives returns. We source low-cost solutions and monitor your portfolio on an ongoing basis. High expense ratios are one of the most common and avoidable problems we address.
Financial Planning
We produce a complete view of your financial structure: balance sheet, cash flow projections, spending modeling, and future obligations. This isn’t a one-time document. It’s a living plan we update as your life changes.
Tax Strategy
We work proactively on your tax situation. That includes RSU vesting schedules, business sale proceeds, retirement income timing, and filing across multiple states. The goal is to reduce what you owe in ways that work with the rest of your financial plan.
Estate Planning
We coordinate with your estate attorneys to make sure your planning documents, beneficiary designations, and asset ownership structures reflect your intentions. We also support generational education for families building wealth across generations.
Transaction Planning
A business sale or liquidity event creates a short window to make decisions with lasting consequences. We help you work through deal structure, tax treatment, and what to do with the proceeds before you close.
Spending Analysis
We model your spending against your income and assets to identify what’s sustainable, what’s discretionary, and where adjustments may be worth considering.
Private Investment Strategy
We research and source private equity, private credit, real estate, and venture capital opportunities from an independent perspective, informed by our team’s direct experience as fund managers and company builders. Every private allocation is evaluated against a client’s full financial structure, given the longer time horizons and limited liquidity these investments carry.
Credit Sourcing
We help clients find credit options that fit their situation, including borrowing against a portfolio when it makes sense — making sure any credit works within the broader financial plan.
Insurance Review
We analyze your current insurance policies to assess whether they are adequately sized for your situation. We do not sell insurance. Our review is independent and focused entirely on your needs.

Common Client Challenges and Solutions
What Brings Our Clients to Cloud Capital Management.
Most people who call us arrive with a version of one of these situations. If yours is here, you’re in the right place.
I have a large concentrated position and I know it represents more risk than I should be carrying. Where do I start?
Start with the full picture, not just the position. We model your complete financial structure first, then build an asset allocation that accounts for the concentration alongside everything else you hold. From there, we identify tax-aware ways to reduce the exposure over time.
My company is heading toward a transaction, and I don’t know which financial decisions need to happen before it closes.
More of them than most people realize, and the window is shorter than it feels. We work with founders and business owners before, during, and after a liquidity event — deal structure, tax treatment of proceeds, and post-close reinvestment all belong in the plan before the close, not after.
I’ve been at two major tech companies over the past eight years and I have RSUs, ISOs, an ESPP balance, and a 401(k) that have never been looked at together. Is that as much of a problem as it sounds?
It is. Each of those compensation types carries different tax treatment, different timing, and different concentration implications. We map every piece, analyze how they interact, and build a plan that treats the whole structure as one financial picture.
My current advisor manages my money the same way they manage everyone else’s. How is that supposed to reflect my situation?
It isn’t. Model portfolios are built for scale, not for clients with meaningful differences in income, liquidity, concentration, and obligations. Every portfolio we build starts with your specific balance sheet. The asset allocation follows from that, not from a risk questionnaire.
We closed on the sale of our business six months ago. The proceeds are sitting in cash, and I haven’t made a single decision about what to do next.
That holding pattern is common, and it’s not the worst place to be while you get oriented. The work is building a post-exit structure that addresses income, long-term growth, preservation, and tax treatment together. Those decisions interact in ways that matter more when the numbers are significant.
I want my portfolio managed based on evidence and research, not on whoever’s market outlook happens to be popular this quarter.
That’s the basis of how we build every portfolio. Our investment process is grounded in the Fama-French factor models, supported by decades of academic research. We don’t make market calls. We build diversified, academically grounded allocations and hold to that discipline regardless of the current market narrative.
I’m five years from retirement and my financial picture includes a pension, deferred compensation, real estate income, and three separate investment accounts. How do I build an income plan out of that?
By modeling all of it together. Sequencing withdrawals across account types, timing deferred compensation distributions, and coordinating fixed and variable income sources all affect what you actually net and how long the assets last. We build the full model first, then size the income plan to what your structure requires.
I have life insurance and some disability coverage that I set up years ago. I have no idea if it still makes sense for where I am now.
Coverage that made sense at one financial stage often doesn’t reflect a materially different balance sheet or income level. We review existing policies independently, with no commission and no interest in selling you anything, and tell you directly whether your coverage is sized correctly for where you are now.
